The University of Warwick has opened its new Sport and Wellness Hub.
Designed by David Morley Architects with Wilmott Dixon acting as main contractor for the project, the building is designed to be accessible and inclusive for all.
Part of a £49m investment into the site, the facility includes a 230-station gym and a 25m, 12 lane swimming pool. It also features a 12-court sports arena, six glass-backed squash courts and a climbing centre.
“The Sport and Wellness Hub is part of our wider strategy to promote health and wellbeing across the campus – with the goal of being the most active campus community in the UK by 2020,” said Lisa Dodd-Mayne, director of sport & active communities at the University of Warwick.
