DP Leisure opens first 360 Play site in shopping centre

DP Leisure has opened its fifth 360 Play family play centre brand, at a Redditch’s Kingfisher Shopping Centre, Worcestershire. This is the first shopping centre location for the family entertainment centre operator, which already operates sites in leisure parks in Milton Keynes, Stevenage, Leicester and Basildon.

Design and master planning for the latest project was carried out by DPL’s sister company, DP Associates (DPA), which also project managed the build. Housed within a 12,000sq ft unit among the shopping centre’s retail outlets, the 360 Play venture caters for young children, from toddlers up to age 12.

Attractions include a central, two-storey play structure from the Soft Brick Company, bumper cars and a carousel from IE Park/SOLI Bumper Cars, and the 360 Street creative play zone, a key feature at all 360 Play sites designed and built by the DPL team. This is made up of individual play units such as a supermarket, pizza parlour, vets and pets, fire station, car garage/body shop and dressing up shop. A party zone offering a dedicated area for children’s parties is also available, along with a toddler zone, messy play area, café and numerous seating areas.
